Job Summary/Objective:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources functions, ensuring the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that align with the organization's goals. The Human Resources Manager plays a crucial role in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and fostering a positive work culture. The Human Resources Manager is a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Essential Duties and Functions:

  • Oversee the recruitment process, from job posting to candidate selection, ensuring the organization attracts and hires top talent.
  • Oversees the administration of the r employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks benefits for all Summit Pointe Employees.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication and addressing employee concerns.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Implement and oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, regular feedback, and performance evaluations.
  • Provide guidance and support in addressing performance issues and developing improvement plans.
  • Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Keep abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations and update policies accordingly.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate the development and delivery of training programs.
  • Support employee development initiatives and succession planning.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding benefits and assist with problem resolution.
  • Generate and analyze HR metrics to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and assistance for Supported Employment.
  • Prepare regular reports for management on HR-related activities and key performance indicators.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as an HR Manager or in a senior HR role.
  • Experience working with unions a plus.
  • Experience in public sector desired.
  • Experience with Paycor desired.
  • SHRM certification desired.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop HR teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.

A trauma-informed approach to service delivery emphasizes physical and emotional safety, choice, empowerment, and trustworthiness for customers. The impact of trauma is broad and touches many life domains. Participation is mandatory for activities required for Summit Pointe to become a “Trauma Informed System of Care.”
Physical Requirements:

  • Professional office environment that generates noise from computer equipment/peripherals.
  • Sometimes lifts, carries, or moves objects up to 25 lbs.
  • May be required to work variable hours/shifts.
  • Qualify for and retain a Summit Pointe driving permit – if utilizing agency vehicles or transporting customers – with the potential for exposure to automobile accidents causing possible bodily damage.
